Julie: Welcome back to the Legourmet.tv, We've returned to the LCBO event's kitchen and we are back together with Luke from Rosenborg Blue Cheese and we are going to make some type of Dessert. I'm guessing because I can smell the strawberries
Luke: Yes, I took a recipe because in a kitchen I'm not very efficient. I tend to spread myself a lot, so the less ingredients there is the better it is for me.
Julie: This is really simple
Luke: Exactly! So if I can do it, anyone can do it
Julie: Okay
Luke: You take strawberries that you clean and cut and you mix it with some orange juice and the zest of one orange, just to give to it that presentation that you would like to have and then we have in this recipe we have sugar, sour cream, orange juice and Blue cheese. We took mellow Blue cheese, that is the milder of all Blue cheese. It is made with the culture, giving it that milky taste.
So, in a bowl I'll mix my Blue cheese to start with. I took one piece of Roquefort, twenty five grams because with the amount of strawberries I have that would be enough to cover, some orange juice, I'm not going to put it all, sour cream. Sour cream to give it a smoother texture!
Julie: Okay, So far it is running on all the skills that I like you to add. They are just so fairly simple.
Luke: I have to put it much of the top of my cooking skills Now, and then some sugar as advised in the recipe and you just have to mix it to get an even texture
Host: Blue cheese always has such a distinct flavour. It is so neat to see it as a Dessert because I don't have to think if it is a dessert cheese
Luke: Blue cheese is an ingredient that many, many recipes and many, many meals that people don't even know. Today the pairing of the Blue cheese like I mentioned earlier the sweetness of the fruits with the Blue bite that is present in Blue cheese gives it a really nice twist
Julie: And the Rosenborg website has a whole bunch of different dessert recipes that we can try?
Luke: Yes, this is a recipe I took from our website Rosenborg.com, this is only one of the recipes that is available and I took the easiest one today. Now I've mixed the ingredient and they have a smooth texture but consistent enough not to be too runny, it is going to stay on top of the strawberries. One thing I didn't put here was the zest, just to give it a bit more fun.
Julie: So, few strawberries in to the bowl.
Luke: Strawberries, makes it more colorful and of a meal and few spoon full of our Blue dip.
Julie: So, little zest on top for some rest of color there. There we go, very nice that is quite lovely and we get to a give it a try, here we?
Luke: Yes, yes be my guest! Now, you be the judge
Julie: So, this could be I have this anytime I can just really summery day with after barbecue or just in the afternoon. Oh! Really that's wonderful the cheese with the strawberry
Luke: The fresh taste of the fruit with the Blue bite mix with some sugar and orange really nice combination.
Julie: That's -- I can just imagine you know little glass of a wine and sitting in the afternoon very lovely!
Thank you very much
Luke: Thank you
Julie: So, if you want to give this is a try you can click on the link below and find the recipe or you can head to Rosenborg...
Luke: dot com!
Julie: There we go!
