Hi, thanks for stopping by Legourmet.tv. We are going to make a Pear Sauce recipe, today. Just as versatile as apples, we have to start by peeling and coring them and we need about ten of them for this recipe

To peel, I'll get a knife and you just kind of cut them real nice-nice. Hold your knife nice and secure. We will core them and put them in the pot. So then we go in to the pot, on to the stove.

Okay so this is where the recipe can vary a little bit. We've got ten Pears in the pot, I personally don't add sugar, you can add up to but a quarter cup of white sugar if you would like. You need about a quarter cup of water just to get things started and I personally like cinnamon in it about -- sprinkle it in, a little tea spoon of cinnamon should be plenty. Turn it on to low and put the lid on. Check on it regularly give it a stir once in a while, cook it until the Pears are nice and soft

So it has been about an hour and the pieces are soft, they tend to still keep their form but they are nice and soft. So take your standard hand blender or you can use a potato masher or anything like that but we are just going to give it a blend. You can make it as lumpy or smooth as you would like. I like mine fairly smooth

So, there we have it put them in a nice bowl for serving. There we have it, Pear Sauce, to enjoy it on cool fall day or any time you would like you can preserve it jars, throw it in the freezer, however you would like if you want to it later on in the season

I hope you enjoy our pear sauce recipe video!
