I know... the microwave? There are certain instances where this is the right tool for the job. Just keep these tips in mind:
-Use a microwave safe bowl or measuring cup at least 4 cups in size. 6 cups would be ideal.
- 14 minutes is a guideline only, your microwave may be faster or slower.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups peanuts
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup corn syrup
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 tsp butter
    • 1 tsp baking soda

Method:
  • In a large glass bowl or glass measuring cup mix peanuts, sugar, corn syrup and water.
    • Microwave on high for 14 minutes.
  • This time may vary depending on the strength of your microwave.
    • Remove from the microwave stir in the butter, then stir in the baking soda.
  • The mixture will bubble.
    • Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and allow to cool for a few hours.
    • Caution this recipe is really hot coming out of the microwave; no licking the spatula or bowl.
    • Once the mixture has hardened break into smaller pieces.

You can try and keep this for a week or more in a sealed container... But it won't stay around for more than a day or two.
